A. It’s your OurGV Rewards/Benefitbar Toolbar so you will have total control over what messages and content are on the toolbar through an easy online editing tool. We will not add to or change your messages in any way. It is customized to meet your needs; you are in total control of information and links within the Toolbar.
Q. How will we get the information needed for the message section?
A. Some content will be permanent. You should have at least one person in charge of gathering news and events to upload and change the Toolbar. To be relevant, you should update the content as often as possible. RSS feeds are a great way to keep content current.
Q. What is an RSS Feed?
A. RSS stands for really simple syndication. These are feeds you can subscribe to for free that will send relevant information to your users automatically. You may already be using this on your web site.
Q. What equipment do I need?
A. OurGV Rewards/Benefitbar Toolbar uses its own server, so you only need a PC to interact with the system.
Q. How do we get the word to our users to download the toolbar?
A. You can use your current communications channels to announce the Toolbar such as flyers, emails, and newsletters, etc.
Q. Will there be any spyware, adware or viruses?
A. No, never.
Q. Does the OurGV Rewards/Benefitbar Toolbar have enough bandwidth to handle our needs?
A. Yes, Benefitbar has a fully dedicated server system.
Q. What browser do end users need?
A. OurGV Rewards/Benefitbar Toolbar works with both Internet Explorer and Firefox - the two standards.
Q. Does the end user need any additional software to run the toolbar?
A. No, just a PC, Internet access and Internet Explorer or Firefox.
Q. How do we keep track of dollars raised and downloads?
A. Benefitbar supplies you with reports that will make it easy for you to check the number of people downloading by the day-week-month-year, as well as revenue.
Q. How often do we receive the funds raised from searches?
A. US and International organizations will receive a mailed check after an initial 45 day wait period, and every 30 days thereafter.
Q. Do we have a right to audit?
A. You may audit anytime on any day, everything is tracked electronically
Q. What are some toolbar downloading tips for Vista?
A. With Vista go to - Tools - Internet Options - Security - at the bottom left side you will see "Enable Protected Mode" please uncheck the box to the left of it. Then click on "Apply" then "OK". After that, close all IE browsers and open a new IE browser. If the Toolbar does not appear then go to - View - Toolbars and see if you can checkmark the Toolbar - also remember to Uncheck "Lock the Toolbars". If you do not see the Toolbar there, then re-download the toolbar. After the toolbar is successfully loaded, go back in and check "Lock the Toolbars"
